Historic Lahaina
6 Ways to Support Maui Fire Victims
Images of the historic town of Lahaina, Maui following the wildfires is heartbreaking. So many families have lost their homes, and the damage to the local community is catastrophic. It’s a stark reminder of just how vulnerable we all are, and how unforeseen circumstances can quickly turn our lives upside down.
As compassionate human beings, we have an opportunity to now come together and do what we can to support the fire victims in Maui.
The easiest way to help victims of the Maui fires is by donating to one of the many charitable organizations who are responding to this disaster.
If you’re considering making a donation, you may do so to local organizations including the Maui Community Foundation – Maui Strong Fund and the Maui Humane Society, both of which are helping with immediate needs of fire victims. National organizations, like the American Red Cross and The Salvation Army have expertise in helping to respond to disasters of this magnitude. These organizations are at the forefront of providing relief services to affected individuals and families.
