Matched $0.00Power Pack is United Way of Pierce County's response to weekend hunger. One in four kids in Pierce County suffers from hunger. Almost half of all students in Pierce County take part in the Free and Reduced Priced Lunch program at school, which ends up being their own source of nutritious and satisfying meal of the day. That leaves kids hungry all weekend. Just $6 per child per week will feed a child with a Power Pack of nutritious food, discretely placed in their backpack before they leave for home on Friday.

LIVE UNITED means that together, united, we can accomplish more than any one of us can do alone. And when we reach out a hand to one, we improve the lives of many.
We believe that we can help change the story for a child by helping to ensure families have stable and nurturing environments so that all children will be ready for kindergarten and achieve early grade excellence, where the building blocks of a lifetime of learning occur.
United Way of Pierce County leads, supports and invests in community efforts to ensure all our children are prepared to succeed in school and in life. That’s what we mean when we say LIVE UNITED.
We invite you to join us in this important work. Whether you give money, volunteer your time or advocate for solutions in these areas, you are LIVING UNITED.
