Overview

WSADA is proud to serve Washington’s new car and truck dealers and the businesses who support dealership operations. 

As the auto retail industry has evolved over the years, so have the complexity of day-to-day operations, the regulatory environment and the public image of auto dealers. WSADA is proud to serve as "one strong voice" in support of new car and truck dealers in state and federal legislative and regulatory arenas and in the community at large.

Through sales, employment and a wide variety of civic and charitable causes, WSADA and its 300 dealer members serve 75 cities and communities throughout Washington and contribute millions of dollars each year to the communities in which they do business.

For WSADA and its dealer members it’s about more than selling cars, it’s about being a vital part of the community and giving back.

Community Impact

Your neighborhood new car and truck dealer provides more than great values and reliable service on new and used vehicles. Did you know they also play an integral role in the economic success and overall well being of your community?

In fact, WSADA’s 300 franchised new car and truck dealers serve 75 communities across the state and maintain a multi-BILLION dollar retail industry that accounts for 12% of the state’s retail sales. Together, Washington dealers provide 22,000 good-paying jobs with a combined payroll of over $1 billion.

Washington dealers also donate millions of dollars to charitable and civic organizations. Whether it’s for youth, educational, health or environmental programs, or numerous other worthy causes, new car and truck dealers are known for their generosity when it comes to supporting the needs of their communities. Mission

The Association's main objectives in serving franchised dealers are to:

  • Develop and promote constructive and progressive legislation that supports the continuation of a healthy and viable franchise system.
  • Foster and promote legislation that eliminates regulation that increases the cost of doing business in Washington and increases costs to the consumer.
  • Support dealers in their ongoing commitment to operate their dealerships in a fair, open and honest manner, in accord with the highest standards of ethical conduct.
  • Promote and encourage sound business policies and practices that conform to state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  • Highlight the numerous positive economic, civic and charitable contributions franchised auto dealers make to the state and their local communities.
  • Encourage the sponsorship of programs related to highway safety.
  • Represent franchised new car and truck dealers in all matters of general interest.
