The Seattle Aquarium is a conservation organization working to regenerate the health of our one ocean. The Aquarium works among global leaders to advance animal welfare, marine and ecosystem science, public policy, field conservation and education that benefits the ocean. Guided by its mission, Inspiring Conservation of Our Marine Environment, the Aquarium thoughtfully brings the ocean to life for the public with experiences that inspire awe, empathy and conservation action. Since its opening in 1977, the Aquarium has hosted more than 27 million visitors and provided marine conservation education to two million school children.
