We are the Tacoma Rockets, a Tier-II (competitive) ice hockey team representing the communities within Pierce County.  We consist of 11 and 12 year old athletes that travel throughout the state of Washington competing with other ice hockey teams within the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (PNAHA).  The other member teams of the association also visit our communities and play at our local rinks in Tacoma and Spanaway, which will offer exposure to our communities and businesses.

The Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association (PSAHA) is a structured, non-profit (501-3c) organization that offers ice hockey programs, for children and adults at all age and skill levels.  We provide learn to skate programs, recreational hockey programs, and competitive Tier II (travel) hockey programs for all hockey players living in our communities throughout Pierce County.  We are governed by the nationally based USA Hockey program and are members of the North Puget Sound Hockey League (recreational play), the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Association (competitive play), and the Rainier Hockey League (adult play).

The mission of the Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association (PSAHA) is to teach the members of our community the exciting and fast-paced sport of ice hockey.  Our primary goal is to teach and develop athletes to play hockey on a team level and at the same time develop individual skills.  We accomplish this goal by offering clinics, development camps, and organized team competitions so that each player is given the opportunity to learn and excel within the sport.  The association strives to emphasize sportsmanship, self-discipline, self-confidence, and respect for others, a spirit of competitiveness, team building and cooperation, and most importantly a sense of fun and accomplishment for each player.   

Our team is striving to create a partnership with businesses in our Pierce County community, in order to accomplish several goals.  The first is to get additional exposure to the sport of ice hockey and continue the growth of the sport within our community.  The second is to get additional exposure to businesses within our community through a partnership with the Puget Sound Amateur Hockey Association (PSAHA).  The third is to provide modest financial support of the athletes within the organization through sponsorship and support during the upcoming season.  Your partnership with PSAHA will hopefully lead to additional exposure to new customers and continue to build on a strong foundation of civic pride and support of youth athletic programs within our community.
