Pierce County Library Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Pierce County Library System. The Foundation is grateful for generous community support from individuals, businesses, foundations and associations that believe in the value of libraries.
Foundation funding has launched, strengthened and sustained some of Pierce County Library's most innovative and beloved programs for learners of all ages - including Summer Reading, Block Play, Job + Business Centers, Book Club Discussion Kits and many, many more.

Pierce County Library Foundation makes a positive impact in our communities by funding literacy and outreach programs for people of all ages, incomes or ethnic backgrounds.
We are proud that Pierce County Library System was the only library in Washington State to receive the National Medal for Museum and Library Service in 2013. Pierce County Library System was recently awarded the Creative Leadership Award for nonprofits from the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. Pierce County Library was one of four award winners recognized as creative, nimble, and bold and for implementing successful strategies to ensure their organizations long-term sustainability.
