Since 1997, Partners in Development Foundation (PIDF) has been dedicated to drawing upon ancient Hawaiian cultural traditions to meet the current challenges facing today’s Hawaiian population. PIDF creates and implements programs to address the needs of at-risk groups within the Hawaiian community (from the keiki to our k?puna), and integrates cultural values, traditional knowledge, and indigenous language to reach communities with an approach that is meaningful, valuable and applicable. The Foundation currently serves over 55,000 people a year in over 50 at-risk communities throughout the State, through a wide range of 11 free programs in education, youth mentoring, social services, and civic engagement. In addition to PIDF’s commitment to a culturally relevant approach is PIDF’s dedication to sound fiscal management and programmatic excellence, having successfully managed over 50 private, State, and Federal grants totaling over over $100 million in the past 19 years.
Partners in Development Foundation inspires and equips families and communities for success and service, using timeless Native Hawaiian values and traditions.
