What your $30 membership will do to support maritime education:
Help us continue moving forward with our county-wide "Place-Based Education" goals - incorporating maritime lessons about navigation and boat building within the public schools to better connect Jefferson County schoolchildren with their family, their community, and local traditions.
Facilitate the ongoing offering of sailing and navigation programs for young children, teens, at-risk youth, cruising couples, boat builders new and old, and all levels of licensed mariners on up to Puget Sound Pilots.
Increase awareness and offer more user-friendly access to our information and services online through website improvements and community outreach, as we relentlessly purse our goal of bringing the regional boatbuilding and seafaring community together to work toward a more unified and supportive maritime based culture.
We have successfully begun incorporating maritime, "Place-based" education within Jefferson County schools; using seamanship, navigation and boatbuilding projects to encourage a more engaging learning experience where children connect with their community and their local roots.
Now offering licensing courses for mariners that were previously unavailable anywhere on the Olympic Peninsula.
Continuously offering a plethora of boating classes and symposiums for mariners of all ages, including summer camps and sessions with published experts.
