Our chapter was founded in 1986 by three volunteers who granted wishes from a make-shift home office. Their first wish was for Sarah, a Tacoma girl, who wished to go to Disneyland. Six more children received wishes that first year. In 2000, our chapter expanded to include Alaska. Since 1986, we have served more than 6,100 children and their families throughout Alaska and Washington.
Our mission is to grant the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical condition to enrich the human spirit with hope, strength and joy.
