Bigfoot is committed to the natural environment it shares with everyone in the Northwest. Since 2005, the company has instituted industry-leading sustainable business practices that have been recognized by local and state government leaders.

To reduce vehicle emissions and to support domestic fuel producers, Bigfoot’s 27- tractor-trailer delivery fleet operates on biodiesel fuel. It sales personnel have access to hybrid vehicles for customer meetings and activities in the community.

In the warehouses, electric forklifts and pallet jacks are used to move product. A 450-watt solar electric system powers the Eugene headquarters and distribution center; annually offsetting about 140 tons of carbon dioxide in the region. In addition, the distribution center saves about 200,000 kilowatts per year through an energy efficient lighting control system.

Bigfoot is a founding member and an active participant in the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative (OBRC), the industry-led steward of Oregon’s landmark Bottle Bill. Through the collaborative efforts of beverage distributors and retailers throughout the state, OBRC keeps an estimated 120 million pounds of containers from being deposited into local landfills each year.

In addition to working with OBRC to recycle aluminum, cardboard, and plastic containers, Bigfoot takes additional steps to protect the environment by recycling plastic shelving, vehicle oil, antifreeze and vehicle filters. A local company turns the wood pallets used to ship and store product into wood chips sold for garden cover.

These sustainable business measures help the environment and create significant cost savings, all while shrinking Bigfoot’s carbon footprint.

Donation & Sponsorship Request

Bigfoot Beverages welcomes your sponsorship request. We are committed to supporting causes that contribute to the well-being of our community and environment. Although we would like to, not all requests will be granted a donation/sponsorship.

Organizations do not have to be non-profit to receive donations/sponsorship. Schools and churches are eligible. Also, it is not necessary to provide a tax exempt number or 501(c)3.

Donation requests are forwarded to a Donation Selection Committee for review. Petitioners will be informed if their request has been awarded or denied once a decision has been reached. Donation requests must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event.

If your request meets the guidelines listed above, and is approved, we will contact you at the address you provide us. You will be responsible for picking up any donations.
