The Ulu A'e After School and Intersession Project provides after school and intersession place-based enrichment classes to 140 elementary and middle schools in the Kapolei, Makakilo and Ewa Regions. The curriculum is based on moolelo (storytelling) and kuleana (stewardship) in order to build the skills, confidence and relationships of students and to create an entire community knowledgeable about its history and culture. Our program includes service and aina-based experiences and classes in literacy, culture, hula, mele, arts and crafts, and historic sites.
