Community Impact

HOW WE GIVE
• Cash Gifts: We provide cash gifts to local charitable causes in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and
Hawaii. We also have a dollar-for-dollar matching gift program to extend our employees’ personal gifts to organizations of their choosing. In addition, we have a
scholarship program for select high schools in Alaska.
• In-kind Gifts: Our operating companies sometimes choose to provide non-cash gifts such as
equipment, facilities, food or petroleum products, using similar criteria as cash gifts.
• Volunteer Support: We support the active participation of our employees with non-profits and
charitable causes that are important to them by granting a $250 cash gift for a minimum of 15 hours
of service per year. Employees are eligible for up to two grants per year.

OUR GIVING PRINCIPLES
• We strive to be good neighbors. Our giving will reflect the needs of the communities in which we
operate.
• We empower our employees. We encourage our team members to engage in causes that are
most meaningful to them.
• We seek impact. We will track and share information and best practices about our giving with our
key stakeholders.
