Dear Donations Manager, Portland Trailblazers,
Artists Repertory Theatre holds a special place in the arts community; as the oldest professional theatre company in Portland it feeds the artistic soul of patrons with must-see, award winning works, re-imagined classics, new play development, and education and outreach initiatives. You can help Artists Repertory Theatre continue a reputation of intimate storytelling by making a donation to “Viva Artists Rep,” our show-stopping fundraising gala and auction this fall.
Artists Rep’s gala is the theatre’s largest annual fundraising event. Details include:
Your gift of game tickets, signed merchandise, or even a private tour of the arena will directly benefit the great work Artists Rep is doing both on and off the stage, and help support a thriving arts community of local actors and theatre artists. You will also be helping to bring to life Cuba Libre, a Broadway-bound new musical opening in October. Cuba Libre tells the story of one man’s search for artistic freedom set against the irresistible rhythms of international Afro-Cuban Jazz sensation Tiempo Libre. Set in America and Cuba, this timely tale reverberates across politics, ambition and romance with quick-witted dialogue, joy-filled dance and Latin-fusion beats.
In addition to extensive promotion of your business prior to and at the event, donated items valued at $100 or more will be generously thanked in all playbills for the 2015-2016 season. That's 8 productions and over 40,000 impressions.
Donating to Artists Repertory Theatre is easy: gifts can be mailed to the address below or emailed to [email protected]. You will receive a thank you letter and tax receipt for your generous gift and our heartfelt appreciation! For more information about the event or table and ticket sales please visit our website www.artistsrep.org.
Your gift is an essential investment in our growing arts community; we can’t thank you enough for your support.

If you are a culturally adventurous person who values the thrill of theatrical discovery—Artists Rep is for you! As Portland’s longest-running professional theatre company for the past three decades, Artists Rep has made a name for itself offering adventurous plays – comedies, dramas and musicals alike – that are supremely entertaining, thoughtful and provocative. Artists Rep feeds our community’s artistic soul with world, regional and local premieres, re-imagined classics, new play development, and play-specific education and outreach.
Artistic Director Dámaso Rodriguez says: “I think of an ideal theatre season as a theatrical thrill ride. Like any great rollercoaster, there must be twists and turns, highs and lows, and moments where you can catch your breath before being whisked over the edge.”
In our two intimate theatres (you are never more than six rows from the stage) audiences are naturally pulled into the stories and can tap into their own hearts and lives. Artists Rep is committed to world-class acting, directing, design and stagecraft that support new playwriting and aspires to embody great literature, moving our audiences to truly feel—to experience—storytelling in a way that only the best live theatre can.
