The American Legion Baseball program is Administrated and managed by community volunteers. Our numerous volunteers donate 100s of hours a year to make it possible for 400+ Alaska youths to play in a top quality baseball program in Alaska. 2 of those volunteers are Saltchuk employees Russ Baker – Carlile Trucking Russ is the Department Chair for American Legion Baseball . The Department Chair is appointed by the National American Legion organization and is responsible for all American Legion Baseball activities in the State of Alaska. These responsibilities are year round. Russ is easily in the 200 hour range that he volunteers his time for the American Legion program per year. The Department Chair is at the top of the food chain in Alaska American Legion Baseball. Ty Gifford - Carlile Fairbanks Ty is a member of the American Legion Rules Committee. His duties include handling games being protested, player and coach disciplines, rules interpretations, and any other activities as directed by the Department Chair. This is such a vital role in the Legion program. Tough decisions have to be made and it takes a very special person in this role. Sponsorship Request: The Alliance for Support of American Legion Baseball is requesting $20,000.00 as a sponsor partnership from the Saltchuk Corporation. Alaska American Legion Baseball would like to offer the Saltchuk Corporation our Baseball Sponsorship Package. All Baseballs used in the American Legion Baseball Program would have the Saltchuk Corporate logo on our baseballs. Alaska American Legion provides 4,000+ baseballs for our teams during a summer season. Saltchuk generously donated $10,000 in 2016. American Legion Baseball would like to offer to Saltchuk Corporation the following: That American Legion Baseball combine the 2016 donation and upon approval of our 2017 ask, we provide Saltchuk Corporation with our full “Baseball Sponsorship” Package in 2017. As part of the largest veteran’s organization in the U.S., Alaska American Legion Baseball would like to offer multi level benefits to the Saltchuk Corporation. See more details on the following slide “Sponsorship Benefits Media”. The State Commander of the Alaska American Legion organization is supportive of this partnership. Sponsorship Media Benefits Full page ad in American Legion Statewide programs Inclusion as a lead sponsor in 20+ radio broadcast of high school baseball and American Legion games May thru August. Four, 30 seconds ads per game Website placement on www.alaskalegion.com site. PA announcements at over 100 games May-August. Four announcements per game. 10 Admission passes for Saltchuk employees for championship events. American Legion Baseball can offer “First Pitch” to the Saltchuck Corporation for their dignitaries or VIP guests. At selected games the Saltchuck Corporation may choose who they would like to acknowledge/honor and along with a introductory PA announcement throw a 1st pitch at a game (tournament games included). Inclusions in web stream events to include the BP Tournament and State tournament. This would involve 20+ games streamed.
