The University of Washington, Milgard School of Business, Center for Leadership and Social Responsibility is interested in conducting academic research in the general area of how individuals view companies when they become more transparent in sharing their corporate philanthropy and community engagement.
The specific details of the research study and specific professors that may participate in the research project have not been determined, yet. As more information becomes available, it will be posted here.
Asking you to enter a credit card to start the 30-day trial helps to ensure we are not spammed with fake memberships. It also serves to protect our current members. If you wish to view a demo or start a trial without providing payment information, please contact us and we will set up a test account for you.
Individuals Fundraising for Non Profits, Schools, Sports Team, Cause
If you are fundraising for a nonprofit or other cause, please read this FAQ.
Many consumer facing businesses using GivingTrax will accept donation requests from their customers or others fundraising on behalf of a nonprofit, school, sports team, or cause. Follow these steps to submit your request:
1. Register as an Individual
2. Visit the Business Members page in GivingTrax
3. Click on Submit Request
4. Complete the online request form.
Note: If the nonprofit, school, charity cause, sports team, etc. is not listed in the drop down menu for “recipient” and you can’t find them in the search field, then select “other” at the top of the menu and add the name of the recipient along with an email address for someone that works there, or the team coach for sports teams (not your email).
5. Complete the rest of the form.
Notice the Giving Criteria of the business member as you are completing the form. If the request does not meet their criteria, it will not be accepted. If you have any trouble, save the request as a “draft” and contact us for help.

Donations by credit card are processed using Stripe payment processing. Stripe is highly regarded and used by many large service organizations and online retailers, including Rackspace, HubSpot, and Shopify, to name a few. More companies using Stripe can be found on their website.
Donations made to organizations that have created their stripe account through the GivingTrax – Stripe API are received directly by that organization. Generally funds are received by the recipient organization in two days. Your credit card statement will show the name of the recipient organization.
Donations made to organizations that have not created their stripe account through the GivingTrax – Stripe API are deposited into the dedicated GivingTrax Donation Processing account and subsequently transferred to the intended recipient organization, usually on a weekly basis. When donated funds are deposited into the GivingTrax Donation Processing account, this name will appear on your credit card statement.
Donations can be made using Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards and by check or EFT. Business Members may continue to pay by check, gift card, gift certificate, or current method in use directly to the recipient organization.
GivingTrax uses industry-leading Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to keep your personal information as secure as possible. We help to protect your information by working with partners that provide a secure and safe environment for credit card processing, such as Stripe.
GivingTrax respects and protects your privacy. We will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to other individuals or companies. The information that you provide is used only to complete your donation. Your name and contact information will be provided to recipient organization.
If you do not wish share your name and contact information to be shared with the recipient organization or you choose to make your donation anonymously, contact us and we will assist you.
GivingTrax supports both charitable donations and crowdsourcing fundraising. The 501(c)3 status of each entity is noted. GivingTrax vets nonprofit charities using the IRS database and requires the nonprofit member to attach their IRS Form W-9 and links to their tax returns. Nonprofits who are valid 501(c)3 are noted with a green checkmark. Your donation to a 501(c)3 charitable organization is generally tax deductible, however GivingTrax does not guarantee that it will be tax deductible. We encourage you to consult with a tax professional.
For credit card payments, GivingTrax provides an electronic receipt at the time of the donation. Both the receipt you see onscreen at the completion of the donation process and the email you receive shortly thereafter meet all IRS requirements as a record of donation. If you are asked to provide a paper receipt for IRS purposes, please print out a copy of your email receipt or send a request for a duplicate receipt. For Business Members who pay by means other than credit card, the recipient non-profit will post an electronic receipt directly.
Business Members pay a subscription fee to use this Service. There is no additional fee to make donations through GivingTrax by check, gift certificate, gift card or in-kind product or service. For credit card transactions and EFT, your donation is being processed by Stripe. Stripe currently assesses a fee of 2.9% + $.30 per transaction, one of the lowest in the industry and avoids many of the typical merchant accounts fees.
Recipient organizations that have created their Stripe account through the GivingTrax – Stripe API will generally receive your contribution in two days. Organizations that have not set up their account will receive weekly disbursements from GivingTrax Donation Processing.
You will receive donations multiple ways. Business Members will continue paying by check, gift card,gift certificate, or other business as usual means.
Donations made by credit card to US nonprofits are processed will be received in a Stripe account you create from your GivingTrax dashboard. You may arrange automatic transfers from your Stripe account to your bank account. Generally, you will receive contributions in two days.
If you do not create a Stripe Account through the API within GivingTrax, the funds will be received by GivingTrax Donation Processing and subsequently transferred to you.
If you opt to keep your credit card on file, you authorize our processing partner Stripe to charge your credit card on a predetermined schedule (monthly, quarterly or annually) to process a recurring donation to your selected charity or organization.
International donors are welcome to make donations through this site.
